U.S. Amateur Radio License Exam
In Association with The GLAARG (Greater Los Angeles Amateur Radio Group) VEC is one of the 14 FCC (The Federal Communications Commission, the branch of government that controls ham radio licenses) -recognized Volunteer-Exam Coordinators conducting amateur radio exams. GLAARG is a VEC testing organization, not a radio club. Satara Institute of Hams (SIH) conducts USA Amateur Radio exam on regular basis. SIH has own VEs (Volunteer Examiner's) team for US examination in India.

Eligibility
GLAARG VEC INDIA VE TEAM will hold a FCC's Amateur Radio License exam session. There are 3 classes of licenses that are offered by the FCC. You have to pass a test for each level, and you have to start at Technician and advance upward.
Level 1: Technician LicenseAccess to VHF / UHF, great for starting with handheld radios.
Level 2: General License
Open up access to many HF bands, which means nationwide and worldwide communication.
Level 3: Amateur Extra License
The highest amateur class offered by the FCC.
Requirements for Exam:
1. Any Indian Govt issued Photo ID proof.
2. USA mailing address
3. FRN (FCC Registration Number)
4. Computer with webcam & high speed internet (For Online Exam Only)
